Free wireless Internet service at Michell Park in Guthrie Center
Area residents and visitors may use their wireless laptop computers to access the Internet at the Aquatic Center or the shelter houses by connecting to a wireless network labeled “airolink.org”.
Parents may want to access the Internet while waiting for their children using the Aquatic Center. Young people may come to the park to download a song. Business and pleasure travelers need a high speed connection to check their email or send photos online from their parked car.

Instructions for Windows XP users:
Set up your laptop computer in Mitchell Park within view of the white antenna located on the roof of the tan Water Plant Building.
Click the wireless Internet icon usually located * on the lower right corner of your screen. Click "View Wireless Networks".
A network labeled "airolink.org" should be visible. Click on the "Connect" button and you should be automatically connected to the Internet. Check the wireless radio signal - you may want to move to another location in the park if the signal is weak.
You may use your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) or check your email as you normally do.
* If you do not find an icon you may need to click START > CONTROL PANEL > NETWORK CONNECTIONS and set up a wireless connection. Call John Cramer at 641-757-0202 for assistance.
